Thought of Get Behind Me Satan just before, then put this song on and realized it was exactly the perfect feeling for the moment. Jack’s vocal performance here is terrific — he sounds so rattled at some points, but always forthright. Also, I believe that the “everybody’s reaction is changing you / but their love is only a fraction of what I can give to you” bit is easily one of the finest melodic phrases in any White Stripes song.
