One of Malkmus’ greatest compositions. I’ve always liked how the lyrics are mostly kinda nonsensical/surreal, and then there’s this odd bit of maturity anxiety: “wedding bells and Christmas, a life you did aspire…” Kinda calling back to a lot of Brighten the Corners.
