Stereolab “Glass Pop Chrome Tubby”
This is a mix I made for this site over a year ago, and I’ve decided to re-up it because the audience is a bit different now and I really wish more people listened to Stereolab. This is for people who’ve never heard their distinct brand of groovy intellectual semi-Francophone pop music before, but also for everyone who maybe sorta liked a Stereolab song or two but were maybe scared off by the enormous size of their catalog and didn’t bother investigating further. There’s a lot of great songs that are not on this disc — there’s just a lot of really great Stereolab songs in general — but this sampler is a good start if you’re new to the groop.
