This is the ultimate picture of New York hipster-bourgeois disaffectation, found, of course, on Brooklyn Vegan. This might be the best, most telling photograph I have ever found on that website. Worst: These people are at an LCD Soundsystem concert, and they appear to be having no fun.
I don’t know, that blonde girl is clearly having a moment, and girl with the yellow thing in her hair is fixing the yellow thing in her hair. The dudes are looking on with apparent interest. In fairness, it’s a packed house and they’re all stuck in a balcony, or in that section just off the floor, so there isn’t too much they can do. Also, who knows what song is playing! It could be one of the more mellow numbers, or more likely, a song they’ve never heard before, since they are debuting material from the new record. People usually only get visibly excited for music they already know. People aren’t always interesting to look at when they are observing something.
